I have it bad

Pixabay
I'll have to admit but I have it bad when it comes to correcting someone's English spelling and grammar mistakes. In the past, I would have cared less about how someone would spell a word even if it means they were using the wrong word, to begin with. But now, oh boy, you better look out. It's like I'm the Nazi police of spelling and grammar. I am far from perfect when writing. I do make mistakes like others but I make damn sure my writing is almost perfect.

I do understand that not all writers are native to the English language. I commend those that try their hardest to master a second or even a third language. I have tried learning a second language and it's pretty hard. Then I remember how hard it is to remember all of the writing rules in English. I actually have it easy compared to others who are just now learning English.

English spelling and grammar can be difficult for any new user, hell it's even hard for some native English speakers as well. I know, I have seen some people who only speak English and still couldn't put out a properly written article without having so many mistakes. Some will write the way they talk. Most often that means they are writing in slang. It doesn't necessarily mean that writing in slang is wrong. It just means the person's audience is limited to a certain area of people and probably isn't reaching out to it's potential.

There are so many words that most people get confused with other like words when writing. For example, there, their, or they're; her or here; brake or break; when to use the correct form of to, too or two, affect and effect, it's and its; your and you're; who's and whose are just a few examples. Sure there are many other words that people sometimes get confused with. You can read more about these type of words on an article titled Words that are often confused.

Although some words are easy to get confused in any writing, it only takes a few minutes to go back over what was previously written to make sure all words are used correctly. Sometimes you can find programs such as Grammarly that will help with both spelling and grammar. Proofreading is something that everyone be an expert in.

Audience

I am in week three of my online English class and this weeks topic is about Audience. When writing a blog or even a paper for that matter, the writer must think about the audience that will be reading that paper or blog. Most blogs already know ahead of time who their audience is or the intended audience is supposed to be. But what happens when a different audience reads your blog? Will it help your blog or hurt it?
Audience-Pixabay

What are some things to consider when writing. I know that when I am writing my school papers that my audience is the teacher and my other classmates. So I know what I write should be beneficial to them.

Also when writing a person must be careful and not use bias words. Bias words have a tendency to hurt some blogs/people by the way the article is written. Below is a list of biased and unbiased words. The list of words came from this site here:  http://www.writeexpress.com/bias.html(Links to an external site.)

BiasedUnbiased
businessmanbusinessperson
chairmanchair, chairperson, head
clergymanmember of the clergy, minister, pastor
Congressmanmember of Congress, legislator, representative
firemanfirefighter
foremansupervisor
mailmanletter carrier, mail carrier, postal worker
mankindhumankind, humans, people
manpowerPersonnel, staff
policemanpolice officer
salesmansalesperson
stewardessflight attendant
waitress/waiterserver
The most important thing to remember is to avoid being racial bias. You never want to stereotype anyone for any reason. This includes blatantly derogatory statements, such as racial slurs because they are unacceptable in any writing.

What's Your Story

I used to be a writer that wrote on a daily basis for a few different sites. Then sites started closing down one by one and it seems so did my love for writing. I am left with one site called Bubblews and, of course, my blogs as well but it's not the same. When the last writing site closed I felt lost and all alone. This feeling has not left and is still lingering around. Will it ever leave? God I hope so. I do miss writing. I miss it with a passion. But now when I write I feel uncertain about what I write. It's like I'm writing something wrong and that it shouldn't be read by others.

I end up letting my emotions get the best of me both in the real world and also in the world of writing. Why do I allow this to happen? I know it feels better letting it all out instead of leaving it all in.

I am uncertain of what the future may hold for me or for my blog. I will continue the best that I can.

What do I blog about?

It has been awhile since I last wrote a blog post so you have to forgive me if I sound a little rusty in this post. A friend of mine has been trying to encourage me to join the 30-day blogging challenge and I eventually gave in and joined the official Facebook page. So I want to thank Trenna for this encouragement.

So, what do I blog about? Most people that own blogs normally have a certain niche that they write about. They might write about how to write an effective blog, how to lose weight, how to clean, or whatever their niche may be. As for me, I write what ever is on my mind at the time I'm writing. That is why I haven't written anything in awhile since I haven't been in the mood to write.

I tend to write about my emotions and things that have happened to me at that present moment. I know to some people this maybe boring but to me it's a way to release any anxiety or help ease my depression at the moment. I might also write about things I have recently learned or products I might have received for free.

Although I might not have a big blog as of now, I plan on expanding the blog in the future.

Today, I don't feel like writing because

Today, I don't feel like writing because I feel like no one is taking the time to read what I have written. If they did read what I wrote it would be nice to see some kind of comment, even if it does say, "hey, I came and read your article." I don't even get that. I take my time to write here on my blogs and as well on World Famous Writers. I wrote one article on WFW and only one person left a comment. I feel like I am wasting my time. I don't even know why I am sticking around. It may never turn into a paying site like it was meant to be. Yes, I am being doubtful now, or I may be being realistic. I don't know. I'm just so frustrated at the moment. I don't want to push my frustration on that writing site and get others scared and defensive. I don't know what to feel anymore. I know I'm tired of being the only one that is trying to make this site work. It doesn't even feel like the owners are trying, at least I don't see much effort on my side of what they are doing. Like I said I am just frustrated. If this site goes down then my writing is going out the window as well. I give up after this. Writing will never be the same. I should have given up a long time ago.

I love writing for World Famous Writers. I love the owners, they are great people. I even enjoy reading articles from other writers, even if they do talk a little too much about god. These people have feelings too. I think I may be harsh to a couple of them and I am sorry for that.

Dear Journal

We all know people write for different reasons and may not have the same goal as another writer. Journal writing is something that is done by many different people across the globe. When writing a journal the writer might decide on various ways to start their journal entry. Some may start as "Dear Journal" or "Dear Diary" while others just write the date down and begin writing. Everyone has the same goal and that is to express their feelings. Letting out any frustrations that the writer may have. Writing is very therapeutic and a great way to let out some frustrations.

102 Writing prompts

Dream Fairy, Where Are You?
To remember your dreams better, write a brief note to your Dream Fairy, read it and put it under your pillow. When you wake and write about your dreams in your Journal, add a big thank you to your DF. Then each night thereafter, read the note and return it to its place under your pillow. Write a new note when you feel like its time!

New Blog On WordPress

I went ahead and set up a new blog using WordPress. I am trying to see which one I like the best. Of course, WordPress is a little harder to use since there are more things to do and use, I find it more of a learning experience. I actually like using the WordPress design better. There are more choices to choose from than here on Blogger. It looks more professional. I still have a lot to learn, but I am ready for that learning process. So I might get to a point and switch all of these posts over to the WordPress blog. Don't worry though because the name is still the same there. I will eventually get my own domain for the site. That would be even nice. https://mywildadventureswhileblogging.wordpress.com/

What am I doing wrong?

I am trying my best to make this blog work by using Adsense, but I don't know what I am doing wrong on here. I have tried reading more about Adsense and how it works, I still don't understand everything. I would ask Kisser from BestWriters.net but, he is always busy. I know he knows more about using AdSense. Maybe I need to switch to a WordPress type blog instead of using blogger? I wish I had someone to ask these questions to. I know my ads are in a good spot and I'm using the right type of ads. I'm still not earning anything from them. I wish I could get more traffic to my site as well.

The Best Thing about a Rainy Day

The best thing about a rainy day is nothing is limited to just one thing. You have unlimited options to choose from at any given moment. Some of the things that I like to do on a rainy day are listed below but are not limited to:

  1. Watching movies.
  2. Reading a good book.
  3. Taking a nap.
  4. Writing an article or articles for a blog.
  5. Create a video vlog.
  6. Play a board game with my kids.
  7. Play video games.
  8. Video Chat with friends on Google Hangout.
  9. Bake something from a new recipe.
  10. Make a photo collage.
So as you can see from above those are only a few options of some things that I like to do when it rains.

Best Writers is Still Alive

Yes, you have read correctly, Best Writers is still alive and is still operating, although the site had to make some minor changes that I personally think should have been made when it was first created. Anyone that has any business knowledge knows that it takes time for that company to build any income where ever that income may be coming from. It takes longer than three weeks or a month to build up this income to start paying anyone, who may be working on that site. Ads that pay are strange and the rates need to be set to according how the ads pay. In some places, the ads pay more than others, this has nothing to do with the site but the ads themselves and the people they represent.

I personally think Best Writers has what it takes to be one of the best paying sites once the ads start paying and the money start coming in. I believe we have some great writers and we are looking for more great writers to join us.

Do you use Bubblews?

I was introduced to website about a month ago called Bubblews. This website lets you write anything that you feel like writing. It does have some rules that must be followed. The rules are listed below:

We have the right to remove (and not pay out) any account that partakes in the conduct listed below:
1. Submitting content that you did not write yourself. Copying content from other websites around the internet is stealing and Bubblews will never pay you for that.
2. Abusing our likes/views/comment system by partaking in exchange groups and requesting for them through other Bubblews' members.
3. Utilizing Traffic Exchange, Bots, Proxies, Virtual Private Network and other forms of IP manipulation is stealing from Bubblews.
4. Submitting posts that only contain pictures and/or containing very limited text is prohibited as this is not content our advertisers like to pay for.
5. Posting Pornographic/semi-pornographic images and/or content to Bubblews.
