D.E.A.R. Day- Drop Everything And Read

Drop Everything and Read is celebrated nationwide to help celebrate the birthday of Beverly Cleary. Beverly Cleary is a children's author, best known for Ramona Quimby books.

D.E.A.R. is a month long celebration of reading that aims at getting more people to make reading a priority. There are many D.E.A.R. programs held on April 12 to honor Beverly Cleary on her birthday. Beverly Cleary first introduced the D.E.A.R in her Ramona books.

So on April 12 we all should drop everything we are doing and pick up a book and enjoy the time reading.
