I have it bad

Pixabay
I'll have to admit but I have it bad when it comes to correcting someone's English spelling and grammar mistakes. In the past, I would have cared less about how someone would spell a word even if it means they were using the wrong word, to begin with. But now, oh boy, you better look out. It's like I'm the Nazi police of spelling and grammar. I am far from perfect when writing. I do make mistakes like others but I make damn sure my writing is almost perfect.

I do understand that not all writers are native to the English language. I commend those that try their hardest to master a second or even a third language. I have tried learning a second language and it's pretty hard. Then I remember how hard it is to remember all of the writing rules in English. I actually have it easy compared to others who are just now learning English.

English spelling and grammar can be difficult for any new user, hell it's even hard for some native English speakers as well. I know, I have seen some people who only speak English and still couldn't put out a properly written article without having so many mistakes. Some will write the way they talk. Most often that means they are writing in slang. It doesn't necessarily mean that writing in slang is wrong. It just means the person's audience is limited to a certain area of people and probably isn't reaching out to it's potential.

There are so many words that most people get confused with other like words when writing. For example, there, their, or they're; her or here; brake or break; when to use the correct form of to, too or two, affect and effect, it's and its; your and you're; who's and whose are just a few examples. Sure there are many other words that people sometimes get confused with. You can read more about these type of words on an article titled Words that are often confused.

Although some words are easy to get confused in any writing, it only takes a few minutes to go back over what was previously written to make sure all words are used correctly. Sometimes you can find programs such as Grammarly that will help with both spelling and grammar. Proofreading is something that everyone be an expert in.

Perceptions

The perceptions of people vary from culture to culture, but so many have the same outcome no matter what. Having been born and raised in a Western country, I can only tell of things that I have seen with my own eyes. I may never experience what someone from another part of the world may experience, unless I open up my heart, open my eyes and my soul and put myself in someone else's shoes.

Westerners have too easy and have no worries about anything. Westerners are spoiled and ungrateful for what they do have. They get offended over the littlest thing. While people in other countries are fighting over land, begging for food, have no clean and fresh water, don't know where they are going to sleep at night. Not knowing if tomorrow will ever come. Children are dying in the streets of Palestine because the Israel special forces are claiming that the children attacked them first, so instead of arresting the children they are shot dead on the spot. Of course, the evidence is planted after killing the innocent.

I'm sorry, but I don't buy into bullshit and no one else should either. The prime minister of Israel, Netanyahu needs to be relieved of his duties and found guilty of war crimes against humanity and the people of Palestine. He is a monster that needs to be stopped.

Every nation in the world, including the United States and Canada, need to open their eyes and their hearts and see Israel for what they really are. If they were God's chosen people, which by the way, they aren't, they wouldn't be acting in this manner at all.

I stand with Palestine!!!!!

Seal and 7

Seal really needs no introduction when it comes to bringing forth great music. He is known for his famous song, Kiss from a Rose from the Batman Forever film that was released back in 1994. Now Seal is back with new music about Love.

Seal's new album is set to release on November 6, 2015, but it can be purchased ahead of time either on iTunes or on Amazon. I am thankful to One2One Network for allowing me to listen to the album before the official release date.

This new album has so many great songs that should put the album at the top of the billboard list. Seal is onto something when he writes and sings about love. Love is like second nature to Seal and listening to his amazing voice is just wonderful.

Here is a list of the songs you can find on Seal's new album down below.

Track Listing:
  1. Daylight Saving
  2. Every Time I'm With You
  3. Life on the Dancefloor
  4. Padded Cell
  5. Do You Ever
  6. The Big Love Has Died
  7. Redzone Killer
  8. Monascow
  9. Half A Heart
  10. Let Yourself
  11. Love

Harry Connick Jr

Being a member of One2One Network really has its advantages and I am proud to be a member of that network. I have been invited to a new campaign for O2O and it’s a campaign that I really enjoyed listening to. This campaign I was able to get a free album from Harry Connick Jr which is called That Would Be Me. It’s release date is on October 23, 2015, so being able to listen to this album before its release date is wonderful.

Songs on the album:
  1. Smile
  2. Like We Do
  3. Tryin’ To Matter
  4. Songwriter
  5. Do You Really Need Her
  6. You Don’t Need A Man
  7. You Have No Idea
  8. Where Prisoners Drown
  9. Love You A Little Bit
  10. Every Time I Fall In Love
  11. Right Where It Hurts
I really think this is a wonderful album that is full of great songs to listen to. One of my favorite songs on this album is You Have No Idea. I can relate to what he is saying in this song on many different levels. Does anyone really know how a person actually feels about them? I don't think they do. They may think they do but in reality they don't. It may be hard for a person to truly tell someone their true feelings. At least I have that problem expressing mine and will try my best to let the other person know.

I have high hopes for this album and think it will go far. I know it has made me into a Harry Connick Jr. fan which in the past I would never have given him a second chance. If you want to purchase this album before it actually goes on sale on October 23, 2015 you can find it here:

Working as a Server

Working as a server can be easy and can also be hard depending on the experience a person may have in the field. Working as a server can be rewarding in many ways, for example, if the customer is happy they may leave a nice amount of tip. Depending on where a person works depends on what extra duties a server may have. Since I work at IHop my side work varies from day to day and is really not hard to do at all. One day I may be responsible for filling the ice bends, as well as restocking the to go supplies. Keeping stock of condiments that are used on a daily basis is a must as well. This includes things like ketchup, A-1 sauce, hot sauce, Tobasco sauce, coffee (both regular and Decaf) and tea.

The only thing that I hate about serving is having to stand on my feet for long periods of time. I actually have to stand for 8 hours a day. Those who work nights have to do 12 hours a night. The thing I love the most about serving, is meeting new people and seeing the regulars come back often. If a place has good servers and food then more than likely the customers will keep coming back.
